What HeavyCNC Is, and What It Is Not
Most sites in this industry are a shop selling its own machines or a directory selling your details to everyone. We are neither, and the difference is worth spelling out.
What we are
A matching service for one narrow thing: parts that are too big or too heavy for a standard machining centre.
A buyer sends one RFQ. We check it against what shops can physically take, which on this kind of work means table size, rated load, crane capacity, spindle reach and the process steps the part needs. Up to 3 shops that genuinely fit get a preview. The ones that take it quote the buyer directly.
Shops pay for matched requests. Buyers pay nothing. There is no commission on the order and we never see the invoice. The full method is on the how it works page.
What we are not
- Not a machine shopWe own no machines, no building and no crane. Every part is made by an independent shop.
- Not a directoryYour RFQ is not broadcast. It goes to at most 3 shops, chosen on capability.
- Not a marketplaceThere is no auction and no bidding down. Shops quote you, not each other.
- Not a middleman on the orderThe contract is between you and the shop. We are not a party to it.
- Not an agency for one factoryWe are not a front for a particular shop, which is why we never name one on this site.
We are new, and we would rather say so
This site does not claim a client list, a network size, a founding year or a wall of logos, because it has not earned them yet. Every other site in this industry has those numbers and most of them are unverifiable.
What we can be judged on today is the work in front of you: whether the guides are right, whether the reference tables match what you see on your own floor, and whether the first reply you get from us is useful. That is a fair test and we would rather be measured on it than on a number nobody can check.
If something here is wrong, tell us. Corrections go straight in and we will say what changed.
How this content is written
The rules the site is held to, so you can hold us to them as well.
- Typical, never promisedEvery envelope, weight and tolerance on this site is a typical range across the industry. None of it is capacity anyone holds, and every table says so.
- No invented proofNo client counts, no testimonials, no certifications and no years in business. If we cannot evidence it, it does not appear.
- No country of productionWe never name where a part will be made before it is matched, because the answer depends on your part and on the region you ask for.
- Written for engineersPlain language, active voice, no hype words. If a sentence would not survive being read aloud to a machinist, it comes out.
- Both sides, openlyWe publish for buyers and for shops on the same site. Neither audience is told something the other cannot read.
- Corrections are publicWhen a figure changes, the page changes. We do not quietly delete things.
What is on the site so far
Written to be useful whether or not you ever send us anything.
